Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Physiatrists are board certified physicians specially trained to diagnose, treat, and direct rehabilitation plans that provide relief from acute or chronic diseases. Their goal is to treat and prevent pain, while enhancing function through non-surgical methods. Our physiatrists work closely with the physicians and practitioners on our staff to treat the patient as a whole. The comprehensive treatment plans for our patients are particularly helpful for people recovering from sports injuries, stroke, cancer treatment, muscle and joint disorders and arthritis. As a result, the patient’s chemical dependency for pain management decreases and their ability to control their body’s reaction to pain increases.

Physiatrists use many different diagnostic techniques including spinal imaging and electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG). Treatment plans include non-surgical procedures such as trigger point injections, and visco-supplement injections.

Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team strives to treat your chronic pain and disability and restore you to full pain free function.
