Dr. Strugar is a board certified neurological surgeon specializing in intracranial and spinal surgery. He has extensive experience with minimally invasive spinal surgery, disc orthoplasty (artificial discs), spine diseases, and skull-based neurosurgery. Dr. Strugar has published and presented extensive research on a wide range of topics, including brain and spinal tumors, and acute spinal cord and traumatic brain injury. He has served as Chief of Spine and Skull Base Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Yale University School of Medicine, and is currently Chief of Neurosurgery at Waterbury Hospital.
Dr. Strugar received his medical education and neurological training at New York University and the Yale University School of Medicine. His is currently on staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury Hospital, and Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery.
