Dr. Karnasiewicz is recognized as one of Connecticut’s leading neurological spine surgeons. He is routinely sought out by patients with the most challenging conditions, and by those seeking revision surgeries. Dr. Karnasiewicz is also recognized by Connecticut’s Workers’ Compensation Commission as a fair and expert case evaluator.
Dr. Karnasiewicz been named to Best Doctors in America each year since 2003, and has performed over 5,000 spine procedures. More than anything, he is known for his direct, honest approach with patients, and for his dedication to finding the best treatment option – surgical or non-surgical – for each individual patient.
Dr. Karnasiewicz received his undergraduate training at Yale University. He earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University, and completed his general and neurosurgical training at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Karnasiewicz is a board certified neurological surgeon on staff at St. Mary’s and Waterbury Hospitals. He has privileges at Yale-New Haven Hospital, the University of Connecticut Health Center, Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, and New Milford Hospital.
